Always give a tenant the opportunity to have ownership in the property. Just make sure that the own price is a price that you determine and feel comfortable with. You can often over price the own price because tenants are just happy to have ownership in it. If they can't buy the house at the time the option expires no harm no foul, and atleast the tenants took care of the property as if it was their own in the mean time.
